Lemme has entered the longevity supplements category with Lemme NAD+, a daily capsule that combines clinically studied nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) with ingredients targeting cellular health and skin appearance.
The formula is built around NMN, a precursor that the body uses to produce NAD+, a coenzyme involved in essential cellular processes.
Research has indicated that NAD+ levels can decline with age, which in turn has created growing interest in nutritional strategies designed to support NAD+ metabolism as part of healthy ageing and longevity.
Dr Kathleen Valenton, Chief Medical Officer at Lemme, said this interest reflects a shift towards more proactive approaches to healthy ageing, with consumers looking to understand what they can do to support how they feel and function with time.
She added that the longevity category is becoming more sophisticated as consumers seek products grounded in credible science while remaining relevant to everyday life.
A multidimensional approach to healthy ageing
But, rather than supplementing NAD+ directly, Lemme has instead selected NMN as the core ingredient.
Dr Valenton said that NAD+ itself can break down before reaching cells, while NMN is converted by the body into NAD+.
“NMN is the direct precursor your body converts into NAD+,” she said, adding that it sits one enzymatic step closer to NAD+ than other precursors.
The choice of formulation also reflects the growing convergence between longevity and beauty-from-within supplements.
Lemme NAD+ contains OmniActive Health Technologies' Lutemax SkinGlo, a patented, dermatologist-tested antioxidant blend positioned to support skin brightness, even tone and complexion.
The formula is rounded out with resveratrol, a plant-derived antioxidant and Yüth, a patent-pending form of spermidine from Compound Solutions, which Lemme says has been studied for its potential role in supporting cellular renewal.
According to Dr Valenton, the combination is intended to differentiate Lemme NAD+ from products focused on a single ingredient or benefit, with each component selected for a specific role spanning NAD+ support, antioxidant defence, cellular renewal and skin radiance.
Simon Huck, co-founder of Lemme, added that the company had identified an opportunity to connect healthy-ageing science with healthy-looking skin, rather than requiring consumers to follow separate supplementation protocols.
A broader opportunity for longevity formulators
The launch comes as supplement brands increasingly explore more targeted longevity formulations, moving beyond broad multivitamin positioning towards ingredients associated with cellular metabolism, oxidative stress and healthy ageing.
For formulators, Lemme NAD+ also highlights the potential for combining longevity-focused actives with established beauty-from-within ingredients in a single delivery format.
However, the strength of claims around NAD+ precursors and healthy ageing remains dependent on the quality and relevance of human clinical evidence supporting individual ingredients and finished products.
Dr Valenton said one of the challenges for the category is the number of new ingredients entering the longevity conversation, making it important to distinguish promising approaches from those supported by robust evidence.
As a physician, I think the responsibility is to separate what is promising from what is actually supported and to build products around evidence we can stand behind rather than around the newest trend.
Lemme NAD+ capsules will launch through Lemme's website on August 11, followed by an exclusive retail launch at Target on August 16.
