Tate & Lyle, a global leader in ingredient solutions for healthier food and beverages, is pleased to announce its entry into TIME Magazine and Statista’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies list.
This marks the company’s first appearance in the annual ranking and places Tate & Lyle among 24 food and drink businesses of the 750 global companies recognised from an assessment of more than 5800 of the world’s most successful companies.
In its third year, this annual list is compiled independently by TIME Magazine’s research partner, Statista, with more than 20 key performance indicators assessed relating to environmental commitments and ratings, reporting and transparency and stewardship.
The World’s Most Sustainable Companies ranking is not open for company applications.
Researchers assess approved science-based targets, ESG ratings based on sustainability disclosures, and other publicly available company information, creating an independent snapshot of corporate sustainability efforts across industries.
Rowan Adams, Tate & Lyle’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, said: “We’re proud to be recognised alongside our customers for our commitment to the decarbonisation of our business and supply chain, and for making our ingredients sustainably and responsibly."
"As a business that relies on natural raw materials such as corn, citrus fruit and stevia to make our ingredients, we must take care of our planet and its ecosystems for its own health and the future health of our business.”
