Kingspan Protective Packaging (KPP), a specialist provider of moulded and cut packaging for multiple market sectors, including food and pharmaceuticals, is making its debut in the UK with the appointment of a new packaging division Sales Manager, Sanjit Dosanjh, and the launch of a new website and marketing campaign.
Kingspan Protective Packaging (KPP) specialises in custom moulded and pre-cut packaging solutions manufactured from either EPS (expanded polystyrene) or EPP (expanded polypropylene). EPS packaging is popular in the pharmaceutical sector where its thermal properties, coupled with cooling gel packs, VIPs (Vacuum Insulated Panels), are suitable for the transportation of temperature-sensitive medical supplies. Both EPS and EPP are full recyclable.
'Protective packaging plays a huge part in Britain’s multi-billion pound transit and manufacturing sectors. Kingspan, with its proven ethos of providing sustainable, insulated products to core UK and global businesses, is in the perfect position to extend its offering to the UK packaging sector with a range of off-the-shelf and tailored EPS and EPP solutions,' said Dosnajh.
The €1.8bn Kingspan Group, formed in 1965, is a leading provider of a range of sustainable products for the construction industry, and has more than three decades’ experience in developing insulated products for multiple industries.
Springvale EPS Northern Ireland and Aerobord EPS Ltd Republic of Ireland joined the Kingspan Group under the Kingspan Protective Packaging brand in 2011. The company is already established as Ireland’s leading manufacturer of fully recyclable custom moulded and pre-cut thermal containers.
Dosanjh has more than 13 years’ experience in packaging and engineering solutions, working with blue chip companies in automotive, defence and offshore sectors. He has been involved in a number of packaging innovations, including developments in injection and rotational moulded cases.
Dosanjh added: 'We’re ideally placed to develop new partnerships with British businesses, helping with the design and testing of custom-made packaging and moulded solutions to meet practically any requirement as well as providing off-the-shelf, proven products.
'As well as being fully recyclable, EPS and EPP both help to reduce packaging waste, cut down on fuel consumption and, more critically, reduce emissions. The bead structure ensures the packaging is durable and impact-resistant – and ideal for external storage or transfers as it repels moisture.'
