A wellness brand has claimed GLP-1 supplements are a "natural, safer alternative" to GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy.

In a statement released yesterday, Lunakai declared that "individuals can encourage a healthier weight through natural supplementation from products such as Lunakai's PRO GLP-1 Booster."

The brand slammed the industry's "obsession with synthetic GLP-1", saying that it had resulted in the recent "debacle" between GLP-1 manufacturers and added that individuals can look to natural supplementation to "encourage a healthier weight".

Part of Lunakai's product range is the PRO GLP-1 Booster, which, the brand claims, can help "encourage the body to maintain higher levels [of GLP-1] through natural production."

The supplement contains ingredients such as berberine, green tea extract, garcinia cambogia, raspberry ketones, curcumin (Curcumin C3 Complex), L-gamma-glutamyl-cysteine (GSH precursor) and 1 billion CFU probiotics.

"GLP-1 might feel like a new term," said Sarah Douglass, founder and CEO of Lunakai.

In reality, GLP-1 is just a natural hormone we make in our gut that helps us manage our appetites, digestion and related activities.
