Vidya has announced the opening of its US Probiotic Supplement Manufacturing Facility in Bunnell, Florida.
The company has expanded its manufacturing capabilities with a new 28,750 sqft facility dedicated to probiotic dietary supplements, ensuring "optimal conditions for microorganism viability and potency."
Its Bunnell campus now totals more than 48,000 square feet, combining manufacturing, research and development and the US headquarters.
Once fully operational, the expansion is expected to create more than 100 jobs, boosting the local economy.
The facility is specifically designed for probiotic processing and features advanced environmental controls, dedicated processing areas and integrated quality systems for handling raw materials, formulation, encapsulation and packaging of finished products.
Vidya stated that the facility is the first of its kind in North America to offer fully dedicated manufacturing for both spore-based and non-spore-based probiotics in separate buildings.
According to the company, by intentionally separating these operations, it optimises the production conditions for each category of microorganisms, which enhances product stability and quality.
"This addition reflects our long-term investment in doing biotics the right way," said Chandra Sekhar, Global VP at Vidya.
We are focused on building infrastructure that protects strain integrity and allows our partners to grow with confidence.
The facility supports single- and multi-strain formulations, synbiotic blends and multiple delivery formats, including capsules, stick packs, sachets and powders, with capabilities spanning pilot and clinical production through full commercial scale, custom formulation and contract manufacturing.
With the opening of the new manufacturing site, Vidya continues to expand its US manufacturing capabilities while supporting growing demand for clinically positioned biotic solutions.
