Supplement company Triquetra Health has launched its new nerve support supplement, the BioActive Vitamin B1 Clinical Strength.
The company called it a "complete B1 activation system" that features 600 mg benfotiamine at the research-matched dose alongside a full cofactor protocol.
It added that the product was in a fat-soluble form, which promises to deliver 5-11x more usable B1 combined with the complete cofactor system that activates and sustains it — an approach no competitor in the high-dose benfotiamine category currently offers.
The vitamin B1 supplement market is primarily dominated by single-ingredient products containing high doses of benfotiamine, but they overlook a crucial activation gap.
The enzyme that converts thiamine into its active form, thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP), requires magnesium as a cofactor. Without sufficient magnesium, thiamine cannot be activated.
In the US, around 19.2 million people suffer from diabetic neuropathy and 73 million adults aged 65 and older face declining thiamine absorption.
Many others also seek metabolic and cognitive support. This highlights a significant population that remains underserved by these single-ingredient formulations.
Triquetra Health said in its release that the new BioActive Vitamin B1 offers a complete B1 activation system, addressing these limitations.
The product contains 600 mg of benfotiamine, the researched dose validated in Phase III clinical trials, along with magnesium bis-glycinate for TPP conversion, pyridoxal-5'-phosphate for neurotropic support and alpha-lipoic acid for protection, combining all four components into one effective formula.
Benfotiamine is backed by several clinical studies, beating standard thiamine hydrochloride for bioavailability by as much as 1147% in one study.
The BENDIP Phase III trial established that a 600mg benfotiamine daily dose was more beneficial than a 300 mg comparator arm.
Additionally, more research by Du et al. found that combining benfotiamine with alpha-lipoic acid fully normalised advanced glycation end product formation in Type 1 diabetics, which neither ingredient achieved alone.

The enzyme converting thiamine to active TPP has an absolute magnesium requirement. The research is unambiguous: high dose isn't enough without cofactors.

BioActive Vitamin B1 Clinical Strength contains the following ingredients: 600 mg of Benfotiamine (S-benzoylthiamine-O-monophosphate), 30 mg of Pyridoxal-5'-Phosphate (active vitamin B6, USP grade with ≥98.5% purity), 200 mg of Magnesium Bis-glycinate (which provides 36 mg of elemental magnesium) and 300 mg of Alpha-Lipoic Acid (≥99% purity).
The formulation is encapsulated in vegetarian HPMC capsules and is manufactured in FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facilities.
Additionally, the company said that it undergoes third-party testing to ensure purity, potency and safety.
