Lallemand Health Solutions has debuted Cerenity, a probiotic-based healthy ageing nutraceutical designed to modulate the gut-muscle axis.

Cerenity is a blend of three of Lallemand's probiotic strains: Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52, Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175 and Bifidobacterium lactis Lafti B94.

A recent study, which is due to be published in a clinical research paper soon, has determined that Cerenity — when combined with prebiotic inulin — can support a user's mobility, strength and quality of life in the latter years.

These findings add to the growing body of research supporting Lallemand's probiotic solutions, with the company recently finding its Cerebiome probiotic can reduce stress and improve sleep quality

To delve into the study on Cerenity and the molecular mechanisms that facilitate its efficacy, as well as the cruciality of muscular maintenance in healthy ageing, NBR chatted with Camille Binachon, Lallemand Health Solutions' Marketing Group Manager.
