“In 2021, there was a 33% increase in consumers treating food as medicine, compared to 2020. This trend is likely to continue in 2022,” said Jennifer Montgomery, Global Market Leader, IFF

IFF Health will showcase its ingredient and delivery format offerings at this year’s Expo West 2022, March 9-12, California.

At booth 2533, the company will discuss its Howaru range of probiotic strains, along with ingredients developed to address a range of health concerns, including feminine health, immunity and cognitive health.

Visitors will hear about recent clinical data on the company’s Neuravena green oat extract, a nootropic designed to promote mental resilience. IFF representatives will be on hand at the booth to discuss how to develop products using its brain health ingredients.

“From product ideation to formulation, IFF is a brand owner’s one-stop-shop to crafting nutrient-rich solutions in unique formats, like chocolate bars, beverages or gummies,” said Natalia Melo, North America regional marketing manager, IFF. “Our range of natural and science-back ingredients, creative and scientific expertise allow us to develop efficacious health products that will delight consumers with enticing colors and aromas, unforgettable tastes and desirable textures.”

The company will also have various product examples on its stand to highlight its ingredient concepts. Among these are an immunity-boosting peach mango stick pack, featuring the company’s Howaru Protect Adult and Powderpure vitamin blend, as well as a coffee-flavoured brain health bar, featuring Neuravena green oat extract.

“In 2021, there was a 33% increase in consumers treating food as medicine, compared to 2020. This trend is likely to continue in 2022, as more consumers seek unique, delicious solutions that support their overall health,” said Jennifer Montgomery, Global Market Leader, IFF. “We’re looking forward to collaborating with customers on-site to pinpoint which ingredients, formats, tastes and scents are the right fit for their brand.”
