Wellness and dietary supplement development firm INID Research Lab is expanding its retail presence in the US, moving from e-commerce into brick-and-mortar.
The company said this shows active and growing interest in cellular health and antioxidant supplementation, with consumers seeking science-backed, clinically proven cellular glutathione supplements.
INID's proprietary gamma-glutamylcysteine (GGC) ingredient, Glyteine, is designed to support the body's own production of glutathione, with previous human research suggesting oral GGC can temporarily increase intracellular glutathione levels.
GGC is a precursor to the antioxidant glutathione, which is involved in managing oxidative stress and maintaining redox balance.
Rather than supplementing glutathione directly, GGC provides a precursor that cells can use to produce the antioxidant themselves.
The approach is therefore aimed at increasing intracellular glutathione availability and supporting the body's response to oxidative stress.
Clinical evidence for GGC
Research published in 2017 found that supplementation with GGC raised intracellular glutathione levels.
The randomised human pilot study, published in Redox Biology, tested single oral doses of 2 g and 4 g GGC and found that a 2 g dose increased lymphocyte glutathione by 53% ± 47% within 90 minutes.
In the crossover experiment, glutathione levels rose during a three-hour period, reaching roughly two-fold baseline with 2 g and three-fold with 4 g, before declining towards baseline by five hours.
The authors concluded that oral GGC could transiently increase lymphocyte glutathione above homeostatic levels in healthy people.

The company claims that GGC can overcome some of the body's regulation of glutathione production, allowing cells to increase glutathione levels.
Scaling cellular health in the US
Commercially, INID has been expanding Glyteine's presence in the US through its Continual-G range, with a focus on increasing availability across both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail.
The company began its US retail expansion strategy in late 2025 and says it has since secured placements with several online retailers and regional stores, such as AlchePharma Naturals in Central California.
The expansion forms part of a broader push to establish Glyteine as a differentiated glutathione precursor ingredient, with the company positioning its GGC technology around growing consumer interest in cellular health and science-backed supplementation.
