Xylitol Canada reports sales growth in Q1 and appoints new CFO
Attributes growth to increased availability of Xyla brand of xylitol products
Xylitol Canada reports sales growth of 97% to $2.2m for the three months ended 31 March. Gross profit increased by 33% to $499,000.
The company said it continues to expand its customer base and to achieve significant quarter-over-quarter revenue growth. It attributes this growth to increased availability throughout North America of the Xyla brand of North American xylitol and Xyla products.
The products do not use any artificial sweeteners and are sugar free or with no added sugar without forfeiting flavour or taste.
In addition, Xylitol Canada has recently launched its xylitol oral care line.
The company has also announced the appointment of Frank Iadipaolo as Chief Financial Officer.
Iadipaolo was previously Chief Financial Officer for Biosign Technologies; SVP, Corporate Finance with a Toronto-based boutique investment banking firm and Chief Financial Officer for Telesis North Communications and Microforum.
