DSM acquires AVA to strengthens its position in personalised nutrition

DSM has combined with AVA’s operations to try and become the partner of choice for dietary supplement producers wishing to offer personalised and nutrition

Royal DSM has acquired AVA, a Boston-based personalised nutrition platform that provides nutrition and coaching recommendations across a wide range of health and wellness segments. Financial details will not be disclosed at this time.

DSM has made Personalised Nutrition a key pillar in its nutrition strategy; this latest move unites previously announced partnerships and investments across the necessary key capabilities including personalised nutrition delivery platforms such as Panaceutics, Mixfit and Tespo.

Consumers are increasingly looking for science-based and data-driven nutritional solutions tailored to their specific health goals. AVA is a state-of-the-art digital health platform that leverages artificial intelligence to analyse behaviour, wellness and consumption patterns and provide end users with adaptive nutrition recommendations and live coaching. The platform is currently available in the US and Europe and can be fully customised to a wide variety of use cases.
