Airnov to showcase sustainable vial at two US trade shows

The company will also be exhibiting its wider product range, including canister and packets

Airnov Healthcare Packaging is set to display its new and pioneering HAT-B in addition to its broader portfolio at two upcoming trade events in the US.

The first of these events is PACK EXPO, set to take place in Chicago from October 23-26. This is swiftly followed by Supply Side West in Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay from October 31 to November 4.

HAT-B will be the focal point of Airnov’s displays at both shows. It is a flip-top vial with built in moisture protection, placing the desiccant component at the bottom.

This is the latest addition to Airnov’s HAT range of products which carries numerous sustainable features, including a reduction of plastic usage, adjustable desiccant quantity and versatile sorbent material to fit stability requirements. Additionally, no desiccant needs to be dropped in this packaging.

The vial is available to customers in two sizes and is designed for use in the diagnostics and nutraceutical packaging markets. Specifically for nutraceuticals, HAT-B is ideal for packaging sensitive effervescent tablets and probiotics. It is simple to incorporate into production processes, with easy grasp and high in-use efficiency.

“Customers have been asking for the desiccant at the bottom of the tube for quite some time,” said Robert Crossno, Airnov Head of Sales for the Americas.

Airnov will have experts on the ground to walk through product demos and answer any questions – this is a great opportunity to deepen relationships and make new connections

“With the desiccant at the bottom, the flip top closure becomes very ergonomic and easy-to-use for both packager and consumer. Furthermore, the desiccant is in its raw form compared to embedded desiccant polymer, provides an improved adsorption rate and requires less plastic.”

Airnov will also be presenting a range of other products at the events. Airnov’s laser-marked canisters are the latest evolution of Airnov’s renowned desiccant canister line. Laser-marked canisters don’t require direct printing or labelling. Laser-marking produces clean, readable product and warning information with reduced risk of contamination of packaged pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. It also contributes to a smaller carbon footprint.

Several packet solutions will also be showcased. These include products that come in a range of sizes and with multiple desiccant options and are made from multiple types of industry-approved nonwovens such as Tyvek.

“We very much look forward to welcoming visitors to our booths at both of these exciting and important events,” said Crossno. “Airnov will have experts on the ground to walk through product demos and answer any questions – this is a great opportunity to deepen relationships and make new connections.”
