The Government of India today announced the second annual Bharat Nutraverse Expo 2026, marking another milestone in the country’s bold ambition to become the world’s leading nutraceutical powerhouse - and extending a formal invitation to global finished goods innovators, brand leaders, and product development teams to attend as its guests.
Now in its second year, the Expo takes place on 7–9 September 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, co-located with IPHEX 2026. Organised by SHEFEXIL - the Shellac and Forest Products Export Promotion Council, under India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry - Bharat Nutraverse 2026 is one of the most consequential trade access opportunities the global nutraceutical sector has seen.
Marking the announcement, Dr Debjani Roy, Executive Director, SHEFEXIL, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, said “Bharat Nutraverse is our invitation to global nutraceutical leaders, buyers and innovators, to meet with world-class Indian suppliers whose ingredients are rooted deep in science and longstanding safety and efficacy through tradition.”
The numbers are unambiguous. The global dietary supplement market crossed USD 209.5 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach USD 500 billion by 2035, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 9.1% 2 . In 2026 alone, the market is projected to surpass USD 217 billion. 3
The forces driving this growth are converging simultaneously for the first time. The global population aged 65 and over is projected to double by 2050, making this demographic the most consequential growth engine in the industry’s history. 4
Prevention has replaced reaction as the default consumer orientation - and personalisation has moved from premium positioning to mainstream expectation. 5
Women’s health has also emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments across every major supplement market globally, spanning reproductive health, hormonal balance, bone density, perimenopause and menopause support, and longevity.
Global non-profit Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN) will be in attendance at Bharat Nutraverse Expo 2026, championing the causes that are reshaping the industry's agenda: gender equity across the supply chain, the advancement of women in science and leadership, equitable access to healthcare globally, and a sharper industry focus on research dedicated to women's health outcomes.
WIN's presence reflects a growing recognition that the nutraceutical industry's most significant growth opportunity - women's health - demands women's voices at the table where the decisions are made.
David Foreman, US-based ‘The Herbal Pharmacist®’, Global Nutraceuticals Educator and Media Commentator said, “India has been the world’s herbal pharmacy for thousands of years - and the science has finally caught up with what Ayurvedic practitioners have always known.”
“The quality, diversity, and clinical substantiation coming out of Indian ingredient manufacturers today is extraordinary. Bharat Nutraverse is a must-attend platform the global industry has needed - direct access to the source, at scale, with government backing,” Foreman said.
ABOUT BHARAT NUTRAVERSE 2026
India: The World’s Nutraceutical Powerhouse in the Making
No country is better positioned to meet this demand than India. The country’s domestic nutraceutical market was valued at approximately USD 8.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of more than 11% through 2034, potentially reaching USD 23 billion 6 .
Some analyses project growth to USD 60 billion by 7 end of decade 8 . The Government of India’s Nutra Task Force has set a national ambition of USD 100 billion in nutraceutical output 9 .
This ambition is grounded in formidable structural advantages. India is one of the 17 mega biodiversity-rich countries with around 15,000 medicinal plant species, of which 8,000 are used in Indian medicine, making it one of the world's most important hubs for medicinal and aromatic plants 10 .
Its centuries-deep Ayurvedic tradition has given the world some of its most commercially potent and globally recognised botanical actives: ashwagandha, turmeric, Boswellia, moringa, and amla, all now backed by rigorous clinical science and in surging demand from finished goods brands across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. India’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector supplies approximately 20% of the world’s generic medicines by volume - a quality, compliance, and manufacturing standard that flows directly into its nutraceutical ingredient and finished goods sector 11 .
Three Days. Unlimited Potential.
Bharat Nutraverse 2026 is not simply a trade show visit.
