HealthTech BioActives (HTBA) has announced its attendance to this year's SupplySide West in Las Vegas.
The company will showcase its latest functional health and taste modulation innovations, while also debuting its Cardiose gummy concept at the event.
As well as displaying its functional ingredients range, HTBA will make a presentation on "boosting physical performance with citrus flavonoids", which will be led by Dr Juan I Cacho, the company's Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
Functional health to support active lifestyles
As consumers seek to enhance their health and wellness while being mindful of environmental impact, the demand for natural, clean-label and scientifically-backed supplements and functional foods is rapidly increasing.
To align with these trends, HTBA will highlight two of its natural ingredients Aligned precisely with these trends, HTBA will highlight two of its flagship nature-based ingredients. This includes:
- Cardiose: A 100% natural sweet orange polyphenol extract obtained through a proprietary extraction process – which has been shown to support cardiovascular health and active performance
- MecobalActive: An active, pure and highly effective form of vitamin B12 that enhances cognitive function and supports energy and sleep.
Convenient cardiovascular benefits
Heart health has been an area of significant growth in the nutraceutical space, as many look to protect this vital organ.
Parallel to this, consumers are increasingly looking for convenient, tasty and science-based supplements — meaning brands should deliver.
To encourage innovation in heart health, HTBA's strawberry dragon fruit-flavoured Cardiose gummies will be available for sampling at the company's booth, as well as the event's tasting bar.
The gummies can deliver 500mg of the functional ingredient in a popular delivery format, which is suitable for individuals of all ages.
Alternatively, visitors who are keen to learn more about how this ingredient supports physical performance are invited to attend Dr Cacho’s exclusive talk in the supplier presentation theatre (booth #3683) at 12pm on Wednesday 30 October.
Tom D’hoore, HTBA’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “The holistic health trend, rising consumer scrutiny of claims and the drive for more sustainable manufacturing processes have created a market that we’re ideally positioned to serve. Our understanding of the industry, combined with our pharmaceutical heritage and green manufacturing processes make us as unique – and trusted – as the health and nutrition products we co-create with our customers."
Making bitterness a thing of the past
As well as HTBA's nutraceutical products, the company has significant expertise in the taste modulation of dietary supplements.
At SupplySide West 2024, HTBA will showcase its enhanced dark chocolate, which has been designed to be less bitter for a more enjoyable, healthy snack.
Attendees can also sample the company's functional mocha cold brew coffee containing HTBA's taste modulation tech and Olews olive leaf extract.
