Manufacturing solutions provider ACG has debuted Personalised Capsule Machine (PCM), a patented technology that allows the creation of custom-formulated supplement capsules.
Designed to cater to the specific needs of an individual on demand, the PCM combines precision dosing with real-time health data and automated capsule production.
ACG developed PCM in tandem with supplement formulation experts Art of You (AoY) to create a fully integrated system providing bespoke supplement solutions.
This follows the growing demand for catered supplement solutions amongst consumers, who are now looking for specific health benefits suitable for their personal biomarkers, health goals and lifestyle choices.
ACG also recently debuted the first-ever fully vegan printed capsule for nutraceutical products earlier this year, offering brands the capacity to produce supplement formulations for those with dietary requirements.
The AoY capsule
By integrating ACG's capsule and beadlet technologies with AoY's formulation expertise, PCM facilitates the production of supplement capsules with precision-engineered dosing.
The capsule bases are also coated in a controlled-release formulation that facilitates the long-term release of ingredients for extended efficacy, while increasing the bioavailability and absorption of the contained bioactives.
“Following five years of development, we are excited to launch the PCM," noted Aaron Quinn, Senior Manager for Europe, Vantage Nutrition.
“We plan to deploy more than 1500 machines across Europe within the next five years, making us an estimated revenue of more than €500 million during the next 3 years," he added.

ACG Group's Vantage Nutrition will also be on hand to showcase advanced ingredient delivery technologies including controlled release beadlets, liquid-filled hard capsules, and cap-in-cap dosing solutions.
