NXT USA — a functional ingredients provider — in collaboration with Kolmar BNH, a South Korean functional food and cosmetics company, has completed the registration process with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in Korea, meaning that TamaFlex has been officially labelled as a Health Functional Food Ingredient (HFFI).

Boosting TamaFlex's credibility and presence in the Korean market

This marks a notable milestone for TamaFlex, allowing the product to be distributed within Korea and marketed as a joint health solution within the Korean market.

NXT USA’s Korea Director of Sales, David Woo, commented: “This approval places TamaFlex in an elite category of natural ingredients that are validated for their specific health benefits, enabling consumers to trust in its proven efficacy. The MFDS has stringent requirements for claims validation, and our three double-blind, placebo-controlled, peer-reviewed and published clinical studies provide robust support for our claims.”

KolmarBNH is the first research institute of the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and has been a crucial partner for NXT USA and will aim to drive growth of TamaFlex’s success in Korea.

The HFFI registration process is a regulatory framework established by the MFDS to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of functional food ingredients marketed in South Korea.

The MFDS is responsible for protecting public health by overseeing food safety, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics.
