Desserts that stimulate digestion through biotechnology strengthen the immune system, prevent the development of respiratory and intestinal diseases and may be beneficial to cancer patients

Tasty food that provides a health benefit is Kuragobiotek’s philosophy, which, through partnerships with institutions such as the Center for Advanced Technology (CIATEQ), the University of Guadalajara and the More Pharma laboratory, offers functional foods supported by scientific research.

Director Antonio Cruz Serrano commented that they have produced a mango jelly that is beneficial for people with cancer. It functions as a probiotic and prebiotic, and contains agave inulin. It reportedly generates metabolic markers that modulate important factors, such as interleukin, which are involved in the elimination of cancer cells during radiotherapy.

Another product, Nutrigel gelatin, is made from fish oils and probiotics, and, like all Kuragobiotek foodstuffs, is supported by biotechnological research. In fact, for their scientific and technological research and management system, Kuragobiotek won the National Prize for Technology and Innovation in 2014.

The company has recently entered the market with a digestive gel that generates a continuous flow, which is ideal for lactose-intolerant people. A further product, a custard, has been shown to be significantly reduce the number of occupational disabilities as a result of stomach and respiratory diseases. Looking ahead, a line of foods for diabetics is planned to manage weight and regenerate cartilage.
