Layn Natural Ingredients has revealed a human clinical study that has illustrated the efficacy of its SophorOx supplementation when reducing oxidative stress and providing weight management support

Layn Natural Ingredients has released the findings of a new human clinical study that demonstrates the efficacy of SophorOx in reducing oxidative stress and providing weight management support.

The study was carried out over a duration of 2 months with a sample size of 50 overweight or obese adults aged 18-40 years with a sedentary lifestyle.

The subjects underwent daily oral administration of SophorOx at an equivalency of two 500 mg capsules per day. The results were remarkable, demonstrating a significant reduction in oxidative stress, coupled with significant improvements in weight management and quality of life.

"Oxidative stress and chronic inflammation are known to play a role in a number of health issues and reducing oxidative stress can help support the body across various metabolic functions,” said Jim Roza, Chief Scientific Officer at Layn Natural Ingredients.

“This study underscores the potential of SophorOx as a powerful antioxidant that can effectively reduce oxidative stress, with significant implications for overall health and well-being,” continued Roza.

The robust methodology involved screening participants at baseline, 28 days, and 56 days, with measurements of oxidative stress and inflammation serving as primary objectives.

Isoprostane, a reliable biomarker of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant deficiency, was measured to assess changes in oxidative stress levels.

The study demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in isoprostane levels of 600% (6 times) among participants who received SophorOx compared to the placebo group.

Roza continued: “The ingredient supports diverse groups, including overweight individuals, those with sedentary lifestyles, ageing populations and even pets."

In addition to the primary objectives, the study explored secondary endpoints, including changes in BMI, weight, and waist circumference.

The SophorOx group showcased impressive improvements, with a reduction in Body Mass Index (BMI) that was 13 times greater than the placebo group, a weight reduction that was 15 times better, and a waist circumference that was 8 times lower.

The safety of SophorOx was also demonstrated, showing no adverse effects and further affirming its suitability for long-term use.

Previous in-vivo and in-vitro studies have also demonstrated that SophorOx significantly reduces oxidative stress and inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines associated with high intensity exercise.

SophorOx stands out as an all-natural, plant-derived dietary supplement ingredient derived from Sophora japonica

It contains a minimum of 90% flavonoids including quercetin, rutin, isorhamnetin, kaempferol, genistin, and genistein. SophorOx is non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and is free from BSE/TSE contamination and ETO irradiation.
