The launch marks an important step in strengthening Seagarden’s position as a trusted supplier of high-quality, traceable and well-documented marine collagen ingredients for the global health, nutrition, beauty and functional food industries.
With Seacoll, Seagarden introduces a clearer and more differentiated brand structure for its collagen ingredients. The portfolio consists of three distinct sub-brands: Seacoll Norwegian Salmon, Seacoll Atlantic Marine and Seacoll Cod.
Seacoll Norwegian Salmon is based exclusively on Norwegian salmon raw materials and will be Seagarden’s main strategic focus going forward. Seagarden has recently completed a new clinical study on this product, further supporting the company’s commitment to documentation, quality and product development. Seacoll Norwegian Salmon has also been registered under the national Made in Norway labelling scheme, strengthening its Norwegian identity and providing customers with a clear and credible origin story.
Seacoll Atlantic Marine is based on a North Atlantic white fish mix, while Seacoll Cod is based on cod of North Atlantic origin. Together, the three sub-brands give customers a broader and more transparent collagen portfolio, making it easier to select the right ingredient based on raw material origin, product positioning and application needs.
“Marine collagen is a fast-growing ingredient category, and customers are increasingly looking for ingredients with clear origin, reliable quality and strong documentation,” says Øivind Aasland Håkonsen, Chief Sales Officer at Seagarden. “With Seacoll, we are creating a stronger identity for our collagen portfolio and making it easier for customers to understand and communicate the value of each ingredient.”
Seagarden’s marine collagen ingredients are suitable for a wide range of applications, including dietary supplements, functional foods, beverages, beauty-from-within products and other health-focused formulations.
“The launch of Seacoll, together with our new Seagarden logo, represents an important milestone for the company,” adds Øivind Aasland Håkonsen. “It is a clearer promise to our customers and partners — built on marine expertise, traceability and premium ingredient quality. In particular, Seacoll Norwegian Salmon represents a unique opportunity for customers seeking a well-documented collagen ingredient with exclusively Norwegian origin.”
Seacoll and the new Seagarden visual identity will be introduced to existing and potential customers globally, as well as to industry media and partners interested in the future of marine collagen ingredients.
