OmniActive’s OmniXan-RS recieves self-affirmed GRAS status

OmniActive’s OmniXan-RS has received self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognised as Safe) notification by an external expert panel who evaluated the ingredient in accordance with stringent US Food and Drug Administration safety criteria

“With the rising interest and science supporting meso-zeaxanthin, OmniXan-RS helps meet a gap for a stand-alone RS-zeaxanthin ingredient in the market,” said Lynda M. Doyle, Sr VP of Global Marketing, OmniActive.

“Like most of the ingredients in our portfolio, we obtained GRAS self-affirmation to further position OmniXan-RS as unique and safe.”

OmniXan-RS 3R, 3’S zeaxanthin is made from premium marigold flower and manufactured under a fully vertically integrated supply chain.

OmniXan-RS is part of OmniActive’s comprehensive range of macular carotenoids including Lutemax 2020 Lutein with Enhanced Levels of Zeaxanthin Isomers, Lutemax Free Lutein and Lutein Esters and OmniXan RR-Zeaxanthin from natural paprika.
