Indian nutraceutical ingredients supplier Nutriventia has announced it has secured a strategic growth investment from NDude Labs to expand its clinical R&D pipeline, branded ingredients portfolio and international commercial operations.
The Mumbai-based company said the investment will also support scaling its proprietary E.D.G.E. delivery platform, designed to address challenges including ingredient bioavailability, stability, taste and controlled release.
Nutriventia plans to establish a dedicated US commercial team before expanding further across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
"We built our proprietary delivery platforms to solve genuine pharmaceutical-grade challenges around bioavailability, stability and dosing efficacy”, said Vishal Shah, co-founder & Managing Director, Nutriventia.
This partnership ensures that we can aggressively deepen our clinical pipeline and advance our delivery platforms without compromising on our scientific rigour.
Nutriventia's portfolio includes the following:
- TurmXTRA, a low-dose, water-dispersible turmeric extract for joint and musculoskeletal health
- CaffXtend, a caffeine-based ingredient targeting mental alertness
- Melotime, a sustained-release melatonin ingredient
- Ashwanova (Prolanza), a root-only ashwagandha ingredient
- C-Fence, a long-acting vitamin C
- and ALAXTRA, an alpha lipoic acid ingredient that is due to launch.
The company's focus on clinical substantiation has also generated recent research activity.
In July, a randomised controlled trial of Melotime found that 28 days of supplementation with low-dose sustained-release melatonin was associated with improvements in total sleep time, sleep onset, night-time awakenings and subjective sleep quality.
More recently, research reported this month examined 90 days of supplementation with a sustained-release ashwagandha root extract and reported improvements in muscular strength, cardiorespiratory endurance and measures of mental and physical wellbeing in healthy adults.
Nutriventia has also published clinical research on its TurmXTRA platform, including a 2025 trial involving people with mild-to-moderate knee osteoarthritis that found a 250 mg daily dose of its water-dispersible turmeric extract was safe and effective in alleviating pain.
The company said the new capital will enable it to deepen this clinical pipeline while increasing its international commercial reach.
NDude Labs managing director Nitin Thakor said the firm was attracted by Nutriventia's combination of pharmaceutical-grade science, proprietary technology and clinically supported ingredients.
“Nutriventia represents the kind of business we want to partner with at NDude Labs —science-led, innovation-driven and built in India with the potential to become a global category leader."
We believe NDude’s operating experience, relationships across India and the US and AI-native approach can help accelerate Nutriventia’s next phase of growth and we are excited to work alongside Vishal and Rajat to build a category-leading business.
