The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) has granted Indena its Centennial Award, a recognition for companies celebrating 100 years in the botanical derivatives industry.
The AHPA has been a national trade association and voice for the herbal products industry in US since 1982. Its mission is to promote responsible commerce of herbal products. Since 2006, it’s created various awards to acknowledge individuals and organisations that make substantive, positive contributions to the herbal products industry.
AHPA has chosen Indena for its first Centennial Award: the company is being honoured for “the pioneering and innovative spirit with which it has contributed to the development and growth of the high quality botanical extracts industry for 100 years”.
The company describes its evolution as a continuous growth and a quest for excellence. “It began with the intuition of the founders, who combined an innovative approach to medicinal plants with a modern industrial vision and solid scientific foundation. Their legacy still inspires and leads the company today and has allowed to achieve a market leadership recognised all over the world by customers and trade associations,” Indena says.
Indena CEO Daniele Giavini said: “This award confirms the importance of our ongoing commitment to high quality and our extremely innovative approach, as we continue to invest in product research, new processes and technologies, with a focus on sustainability. This award stimulates us to go forward into our next century with the same vision and enthusiasm, developing products that are increasingly complying to the wealth needs of the community, with care and respect of the environment".
