Herborium introduces protein bar with skin benefits

Target distributors in the US such as Whole Foods, TraderJoe, Walmart and Target will be canvassed to distribute the product

Herborium Group, a Botanical Therapeutics Company and provider of botanical medicinal products, is launching a proprietary protein derma-bar designed to promote clear, healthy and youthful skin in addition to healthy weight management, in the Q4 of 2021.

The bar comes in several flavours and is targeting the growing population of protein bar favouring consumers, as well as the broader functional foods market. Target distributors in the US such as Whole Foods, TraderJoe, Walmart and Target will be canvassed to distribute the product, which the company claims is the only protein bar to target skin health.

The bar is belongs to the category of ‘beauty positioned supplements’ that grew 61% in sales in USA in the past year. The US posted $144m in sales of beauty supplements in 2020 compared to $89m the previous year.

Herborium’s CEO Dr. Agnes Olszewski noted, “We are very happy to introduce our new proprietary addition to Herborium product portfolio.
