George Pontiakos, President and CEO of BI Nutraceuticals, will be participating in two panel discussions at the Nutrition Integrates 2014 conference being held on 5 June at the Grange Tower Bridge, London, UK.
The first of these, “Sustainability Expands Beyond Simple Carbon Footprint: Going Green, Ethical Sourcing and Protecting the Planet”, will take place from 10:55–11:50 a.m. and will address protecting marine ecosystems from over-fishing, functional ingredients derived from byproducts and alternative sources and how to achieve environmental excellence throughout the supply chain.

The second panel discussion, “Industry Convergence: Crossing the Food vs Pharma Divide”, will be held from 3:30–4:25 p.m. and will highlight how patient power is driving prevention trends, keys to achieving GMP compliant manufacturing and the role of Big Pharma in consumer healthcare.

As president and CEO of BI Nutraceuticals, Pontiakos oversees all aspects of operations for west and east coast offices, and the Zuellig Group Nutrition and Ingredients, China. He has held senior leadership positions at several leading consulting, medical services and technology companies including Monovasia, which he founded, Oluma, Lucent, Agere, Ortel, NetVantage and Timeplex.
He has wide-ranging experience in scaling geographically dispersed global companies to maximise their ability to successfully compete in the marketplace. Pontiakos holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Farleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey.
