ExcelVite will exhibit at the Food Ingredients Asia-China 2016 tradeshow in Shanghai this June

According to the Malaysian Palm Oil Council, Malaysia exported 2.8 million tonnes of palm oil to China in 2014.

China is one of the biggest importer of palm oil from Malaysia and primarily used for food applications such as cooking oil, production of specialty fats, instant noodles and others.

However, there is a lack of awareness about the important phytonutrients present in crude palm oil such as mixed carotenes and tocotrienols, which have been shown to promote vision, brain, heart, liver and skin health.

ExcelVite (booth E5N47) and its business partner, AAFUD Industry (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd, will showcase two flagship products: EVTene, Natural Mixed-Carotenes Complex and EVNol, Natural Full Spectrum Tocotrienol/Tocopherol Complex. These products are naturally derived from red palm fruits, which have been widely used in dietary supplement, functional food and beverages in the US, Europe, Japan and Australia.

'This is our first exhibition at FiA-China 2016. We believe this is an excellent opportunity to share the differences between various sources of beta-carotene and vitamin E in the market and, at the same time, to present the true natural mixed carotene (EVTene) and palm tocotrienol complex (EVNol) as well as new product concepts to the audience at FiA-China this year,' says Bryan See, Regional Product Manager of ExcelVite.

In addition, ExcelVite will also have a conference session on beta-carotene and vitamin E, derived from palm fruits. Bryan will present current market information on beta-carotene and vitamin E ingredients , and the latest research findings on mixed carotene (EVTene) and natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex (EVNol), as well as their applications, and new innovative product concepts – which would bring new idea and cutting-edge formulation to the manufacturers and formulators in China and Asia.

Bryan’s talk is scheduled as follows: 'The Natural Mixed-Carotene and Super Vitamin E (Tocotrienols) from Red Palm Fruit – Application and Unique Health Benefits,' taking place on 22 June (Wednesday) at 11:00–12:30 in Meeting Room E5-M30.

'These natural palm phytonutrients have been successfully introduced as a natural food colourant, natural source of beta-carotene and super vitamin E in Europe and the USA. I look forward to presenting the benefits, clinical studies, applications and product concepts on EVTene and EVNol to the audiences at FiA-China 2016, whom I trust will learn some interesting information and concept for their new project or reformulation,' added Bryan.
