Barentz showcases protein, fibre and flavour innovations at Foodpro 2026

Ingredient distributor Barentz will highlight protein, fibre, nutrition and sensory solutions for food manufacturers at Foodpro 2026 in Melbourne, as the company expands its Human Nutrition offering under its new brand identity

Barentz will be showcasing its latest ingredient solutions for the Human Nutrition market at Foodpro 2026, which takes place from 26-29 July at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Australia.

The event will mark the first major trade show appearance for the former Additive Solutions team under the Barentz name, following the company's transition and integration into the global ingredient distributor.

At Stand H8, Barentz will present an application-led booth experience centred around four key trends shaping food and beverage innovation: protein enrichment, fibre optimisation, premium nutrition and sensory enhancement.

The company’s “protein powerhouse” and “fibremaxxing” concepts reflect growing demand from consumers and manufacturers for products that deliver enhanced nutritional value, including high-protein and high-fibre foods across categories such as bakery, snacks and cereals.

Meanwhile, Barentz will highlight “premium nutrition” and “taste explosion” solutions designed to help brands balance health benefits with appealing taste experiences — a key challenge as functional foods continue to move into mainstream categories.

Visitors to the Barentz booth will be able to explore ingredient applications through two dedicated tasting zones, including a flavour-focused area and a section showcasing bakery, confectionery and cereal-based concepts.

Andrew Sullivan, Managing Director Australia & New Zealand at Barentz, said Foodpro 2026 represents an important milestone for the regional team.

Customers can expect the same local market knowledge, technical support and application focus, while also gaining access to the broader ingredient portfolio and global expertise available through Barentz.

The company’s presence at Foodpro comes as demand for functional food ingredients continues to grow in Australia and globally, driven by interest in protein-rich products, dietary fibre, healthier formulations and improved sensory experiences.
