Arla Foods Ingredients launches high-protein campaign to inspire the dairy industry

Published: 18-Sep-2024

The company will show businesses dealing in dairy how they can boost the protein content of their products, without compromising on taste

Arla Foods Ingredients has begun a novel campaign to encourage innvation in the high-protein dairy product space.

At the centre of the campagin is Arla's Nutrilac ProteinBoost range — a group of whey protein-based products that can help F&B manufacturers to create high-protein dairy products with an appealing taste and texture.

To further inform the industry, the company will be holding a virtual protein seminar, which will incorporate presentations from experts and learning opportunities for attendees.

Onlookers can explore five concepts that include Nutrilac ProteinBoost, including two new recipes. This includes:

  • An ambient spoonable yoghurt
  • An ambient drinking yoghurt
  • A 10% protein ice cream
  • A high-protein, low-fat drinking yoghurt with fruit
  • A 12% protein spoonable yoghurt.

According to an Innova Market Insights trend survey from 2024, more than 40% of consumers globally believe that protein is the most important ingredient when looking at food and beverage products.

However, health-focused shoppers are increasingly focusing on the nutritional quality of protein-based products, rather than just looking for its protein content.

Therefore, Arla aim to offer a solution that can help F&B manufacturers fulfil this growing consumer demand.

Claus Bukbjerg Andersen, Senior Category Manager at Arla Foods Ingredients, said: The high-protein trend is as powerful as ever, but it’s evolving. Consumers now want high-quality, complete proteins – and they want them in products with masses of appeal."

"Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for manufacturers to meet these dual needs. The ‘Go High in Protein’ demonstrates how our Nutrilac ProteinBoost solutions can help you overcome technical challenges and create high-protein dairy products that stand out in an increasingly crowded market.”
