Sirio launch PureOrganix range of gummies and softgels at Vitafoods Europe

The new market-ready organic range includes top-trending ingredients, including EPO, flaxseed oil and apple cider vinegar

SIRIO Pharma, a global nutraceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), is set to debut a new range of organic formulations tailored to European consumers at Vitafoods Europe (May 14-16). 

The newly introduced PureOrganix concepts are formulated to meet the stringent EU-Organic certification criteria and include three ready-to-market gummies and one softgel.

Demand for organic formulations is growing rapidly, with the global herbal extracts market expected to exceed USD $8bn in 2030, up from $5bn in 20201.

The PureOrganix range targets three health areas: PMS and menopause, metabolic health and cardiac health.

 

Mitigating the negative effects of the menopause

Sirio's organic evening primrose oil (EPO) gummy aims to target PMS and menopause symptoms. The pectin-based product delivers 250mg of EPO (GLA 10%) to consumers in a mixed berry flavour.

Additionally, the PureOrganix softgel contains 500mg of EPO, supplemented by an extra 45mg of gamma linoleic acid (GLA).

 

Managing metabolism 

Another growth area for nutraceuticals, particularly those with natural actives, is for products that aim to address metabolism concerns and weight management control. 

In response, Sirio has created a ready-to-market organic gummy with 500mg of Apple Cider Vinegar, an ingredient well-known for metabolic health benefits and weight loss support.

 

Bolstering cardiovascular health

A final star concept, the PureOrganix flaxseed oil gummy, features 120mg of flaxseed oil. The product is also rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a nutrient that has an approved EFSA claim for helping ‘maintain normal blood cholesterol levels’. 

The lemon flavoured pectin gummy offers a convenient way for consumers to support cardiovascular health.

 These latest products follow on from last month’s launch of a ‘women’s health platform’ that will also be featured at Vitafoods Europe: it showcases 20 ready-to-formulate concepts spanning a woman’s entire life journey, from pre-puberty to post-menopause, with concrete options for holistic health.
