XinKailian Biotechnology debuts its new GMP-certified ubiquinol product

Published: 29-Aug-2024

The ubiquinol ingredient has been cross-referenced to avoid patent infringements, and is produced by a natural fermentation process

XinKailian Biotechnology, a nutraceutical ingredients provider, has launched its GMP-certified ubiquinol.

According to the company, the functional ingredient is compliant with USP43 standards, while also being supported by “freedom to operate” analysis.

Following some market fears regarding patent infringement lawsuits associated with certain nutraceutical ingredients, XinKailian has conducted an analysis of the patent scope for this sector.

598 patents were screened, with 62 found to be relevant.

Of the 62, only 16 were classified as low-risk, with the rest being considered risk-free.

Therefore, XinKailian believes that companies can transition to using its ubiquinol product without worrying about legal repercussions.

The company’s ubiquinol is manufactured using advanced production techniques, and is made from naturally-derived CoQ10.

The nutraceutical product also goes through mild reaction conditions, while also being processed at ultra-low temperatures.

This means that the biological activity of the ubiquinol is preserved, which optimises its absorption and stability.
