Women in Nutraceuticals announces series of webinars

Published: 26-Mar-2024

The seminars will centre around initiatives to further the inclusion of women in nutraceutical research

Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN), the non-profit spearheaded by a cohort of global nutraceutical leaders, announces the first in a series of three web seminars designed to increase the number of clinical studies on women.

This topic is specifically part of the WIN mission: championing more women in science and research initiatives in female populations.

The first of the series, ‘Considerations for recruitment of female participants in clinical studies’, will take place on April 4th at 10AM ET.

With the expansion of the supplement industry over the years, clinical trials are increasingly leveraged by companies for competitive advantage and as a way of building consumer trust.

Evolving regulatory guidelines for supplements are also steering industry players towards more inclusive studies that engage participants who are representative of the target consumer base.

Given the significant female demographic among supplement users and the rising interest in women’s health products, this webinar seeks to explore strategies for effectively recruiting and retaining women in clinical trials, addressing benefits, obstacles and supportive tools.

The speakers will be Dr Cynthia Suarez-Rizzo, Finzelberg; Dr Belinda Tan, Co-CEO, People Science; and Dr Amanda Rao, Founder, Director, Principal Investigator at RDC Clinical.
