Health and wellness brand and supplement manufacturer Thorne has appointed Martin Gonzalez as its first Chief Supply Chain Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand globally.
Gonzalez brings more than 25 years of experience in global supply chain and operations, spanning world-class multinational and high-growth organizations. He began his career at Unilever and later held senior roles at Molson Coors and Sara Lee, overseeing large, complex operations across multiple regions.
Most recently, Gonzalez served as EVP, Global Supply Chain at Nature’s Sunshine, where he led transformative initiatives that delivered gross margin expansion, supported rapid digital growth, and built scalable operations through operational excellence and strong team development.
Throughout his career, Gonzalez has led end-to-end supply chain transformations that accelerated growth, improved operational efficiency, streamlined costs, and elevated manufacturing standards. He is particularly passionate about integrating science, technology, and high-performance teams to drive value creation.
Prior to his role at Nature’s Sunshine, Gonzalez managed bakery operations for Cerelia North America (formerly Sara Lee) and held progressive leadership positions at Molson Coors and Unilever across the Americas and Europe.
Gonzalez holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and a COO certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He and his wife, Claudia, have raised two children and recently relocated to South Carolina.
With this appointment, Thorne reinforces its commitment to operational excellence and positions itself for continued growth in the global wellness and supplement market.
