Reliable qualification starts by defining the exact material and intended use, then linking specifications, analytical methods, batch evidence, regulatory review and logistics into a traceable sourcing decision.
Start with the product, not the supplier's catalogue
The first sourcing error often happens before a sample is requested. Buyers may ask for lion's mane powder or reishi extract without defining the fungal material, process, composition, intended claim, formulation use and destination market.
The supplier then quotes the closest catalogue item, even if it is not the material the finished product requires.
