The plant-based ingredient distributor ProTec Nutra has announced that the company has been awarded an AA+ grade following an unannounced audit against the BRCGS Global Standard for Storage and Distribution Issue 4.
The BRCGS Global Standard for Storage and Distribution Issue 4 is a GFSI-recognised benchmark designed for logistics, warehousing and transportation.
It ensures the safety, quality and legality of food, packaging and consumer goods are maintained throughout the supply chain.
Gary Parker, Managing Director of ProTec Nutra Ltd, said: "Achieving this result under an unannounced audit is a genuine reflection of the standards we maintain day in, day out, not just when we know someone's watching."
[The award] reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, safety and best practice in the storage and distribution of our plant-sourced ingredients, giving our partners even greater confidence in every shipment that leaves our site.
Founded in 2014, ProTec Nutra specialises in sourcing high-quality, vegan and vegetarian-friendly raw materials for supplements and functional foods.
The ingredients the international team sources and supplies include exclusive lines that can be shipped to businesses of all sizes worldwide, not just the UK.
The company said it works only with established, leading manufacturing partners to provide the best-quality products, ensuring a "fully trusted and traceable supply chain."
ProTec Nutra is one of three companies under the ProTec Group (part of LPC Group).
