NutriLeads' precision prebiotic nutraceutical, Benicaros, has now broken into the Malaysian market.
This has occurred through a sales and marketing agreement with Nexus Wise, a functional ingredients supplier who operates in the region.
Benicaros is a gut and immune health ingredient which can be used in a range of applications, including functional foods, supplements and beverages.
The nutraceutical, according to NutriLeads, positively modulates the immune system, allowing it to respond faster and better when exposed to pathogens.
It also selectively increases the prevalence of beneficial gut microorganisms and their metabolites, which play a key role in promoting overall health.
The functional ingredient is upcycled from carrot pomace.
