UAS Laboratories has received FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification. This certification verifies that the US-based company conforms to all industry-related statutory and regulatory requirements as outlined by the FSSC 22000 International Standard for Food Safety Management Systems.

In addition, FSSC 22000 provides a framework for effectively managing the organisation's food safety responsibilities moving forward.

UAS Labs unique secured this certification in just 17 months after gaining occupancy of its new facility.

When asked about the abbreviated timeline, Kim Rivard, Director of Quality, said: "We had the unique experience of building this facility from the ground up, which allowed us to design and engineer quality into each step of the probiotic fermentation process. This level of upfront control and design made obtaining this certification a smoother process than I've experienced."

This certification joins the recognition that the UAS Labs facilities have previously received. The Madison, WI fermentation facility is now:

  • Kosher Certified;
  • Halal Certified;
  • Non-GMO Project Certified;
  • and now FSSC 22000 Certified.

The Wausau, WI finished goods manufacturing facility is certified:

  • NSF GMP;
  • USDA Organic;
  • Kosher;
  • Halal;
  • Gluten Free;
  • and Non-GMO.

"The FSSC 22000 certificate is a proud step for us in the direction of the high-level excellence we strive to achieve every day," says UAS Labs CEO, Kevin Mehring. "We hold food safety and quality in the highest esteem so that we can continue to provide products that support the education and improvement of health and wellbeing worldwide."
