Following an increase in capacity, sweetener producer is bringing the commercial department up to speed

PureCircle, headquartered in Chicago, has announced it is stepping up its commercial activities to broaden sales reach and maintain services standards. Last year, following an increased global demand for the company’s plant-based sweetener, production capacity was expanded. This resulted in a parallel need to expand commercial operations.

As part of the expansion at the stevia sweetener producer, there have been three new VP appointments; Aymeric De Gantes as VP of Business Development (focused on expanding the sales of stevia ingredient flavors), Catalina Reachi Simon as Regional VP of North Latin America Sales, and Chris Tower as Regional VP of North American Sales.

The company has also internally promoted Dave Gallagher and Ken Horn to Vice Presidents of Global Key Accounts.

These new leaders report to Chief Commercial Officer Stéphane Ducroux who joined the company in 2018. The company states that the cost of these recruitments will be offset by the internal efficiency savings resulting from the improved functioning of the department.

Commenting on these changes, PureCircle CEO Maga Malsagov, said: “These moves will enable us to even better capitalise on the growth opportunities created by our innovation and by the increasing demand for new generation stevia ingredients.”

As a result of its recent developments, PureCircle will be expanding its offerings and will sell, not just stevia sweeteners, but also protein, fibre and antioxidant ingredients from the stevia plant.
