Gadot Biochemical Industries has extended its line of magnesium raw materials, magnesium citrates, gluconates, and phosphates, to provide manufacturers more flexibility in formulation development, as well as fulfil demand for the entire line of magnesium ingredients.
Magnesium citrates are used in consumer products including nutraceuticals, beverages, infant formulas, dairy products/alternatives, and confections.
Gluconates are characterised by chelating abilities and solubility. The magnesium gluconates form can be added to nutraceuticals, personal care, and beverage products.
Phosphorus is part of many products in the market that are essential to modern living and good health, the company claims. Magnesium phosphates are viable for dairy products, infant formulas, and nutraceuticals.
Magnesium is essential mineral, Gadot says, needed for more than 300 cofactors and is a crucial component of the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) metabolism.
“Magnesium is required for DNA and RNA synthesis, reproduction, and protein synthesis. Moreover, magnesium is essential for the regulation of muscular contraction, blood pressure, insulin metabolism, cardiac excitability, vasomotor tone, nerve transmission and neuromuscular conduction,” said CEO Ohad Cohen.
