Clasado Biosciences appoints Per Rehne as CEO

Per will be responsible for shaping the company's "healthy eating for all" business strategy

Former Commercial Director of OptiBiotix Health, Per Rehné, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Clasado Biosciences.

Clasado develops microbiome products targeting gastrointestinal wellness for the food and healthcare sectors, including the unique commercialised prebiotic, Bimuno.

Rehné said of his appointment: “I’m pleased to be joining Clasado at a key time in the company’s history. With more than 15 years of scientific research and experience in the development of its global IP position for gut wellness solutions, and the increasing growth in focus on health and well-being by consumers, the future looks bright for the company.”

Having built expertise in the health and nutrition sector in the Nordic countries and, in later years, in the UK at Cornelius Group and latterly OptiBiotix Health, where he remains a Non-Executive Director of the ProBiotix Health Division, Rehné is well placed to build the fortunes of the leading biosciences organisation.

Moncef Slaoui, Chairman of Clasado, said: “Per has an enviable track record in delivering strategic growth and we are delighted he agreed to head up our team. We are excited about the potential he sees for our products and innovation pipeline.”
