The two companies have collaborated on a new gummy supplement based on Immudyne's beta-glucan product and Asiros' elderberry extract

Immudyne Nutritional has partnered with Danish manufacturer Asiros Nordic to launch a new gummy supplement named ElderPureMune.

The supplement is based on Immudyne’s PureMune beta-glucan and BerryShield, an elderberry extract created by Asiros.

Speaking about the launch, Asiros CEO .Mark McLaughlin said: “We’re excited to be able to offer our powerful PureMune beta-glucan ingredient, now combined with Asiros Nordic’s Innovative BerryShield ingredient.”

Although conventional beta-glucan ingredients usually need up to six to 12 days of supplementation to produce a clinically-relevant response in one immune pathway with a minimum dose of 250 mg, PureMune is evidenced to have onset of action within three hours.

It is also linked to three different components of immunity, at an efficacious dose of 30 mg daily.

Our superior-quality farm to finish BerryShield Elderberry is an ideal addition to what is perhaps the world’s finest beta-glucan ingredient

Manufactured in an FDA-registered facility, the ingredient went through tests by Eurofins Scientific using carbon-13 high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance that validated PureMune’s authenticity and lack of common allergens.

Asiros’ black elderberry uses a solvent-free technology that envelops and protects the berry’s components that are typically destroyed in conventionally-processed elderberry products.

“Our superior-quality farm to finish BerryShield Elderberry is an ideal addition to what is perhaps the world’s finest beta-glucan ingredient, PureMune from Immudyne,” said Jan Kuhlmann, PhD, CEO of Asiros Nordic.

Immudyne and Asiros Nordic have agreed that neither Asiros will use any other beta-glucan ingredient, or Immudyne will use another elderberry ingredient.
