The Global Organisation for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) has published a new regional market report drawing from the Global New Products Database by market research firm Mintel. The report details the latest EPA and DHA supplement product trends and developments in Asian markets, and includes an analysis of 318 new products.
The report summarises product introductions by country — South Korea introduced the most new products — and provides a round-up of recent product launches organized by market trend, including details on popular product claims, target consumer markets and the importance of sustainability claims. In addition, this report includes a table of EPA and DHA content claims by milligrams per serving over three years of product releases.
In June, GOED published its first regional market report with Mintel, New Product Round-Up: Trends & Developments in European EPA & DHA Supplement Product Introductions, providing insight on EPA and DHA omega-3 product trends in Europe. A report on new product trends in the North American market will be available later this year.
GOED (Global Organisation for EPA and DHA Omega-3s) represents the worldwide EPA and DHA omega-3 industry, with a mission to increase consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3s around the world.
Its 170+ members represent the entire supply chain of EPA and DHA omega-3s, from fisheries and crude oil suppliers to refiners, concentrators and finished product brands.
