The Global Prebiotic Association (GPA), an organisation focused on driving education and building public awareness of prebiotics, has welcomed Dr Luis Gosálbez, Business Development Director at Clasado, as a member of its newly formed Technical Committee.
Established in 2018, the GPA is comprised of ingredient manufacturers, brand holders and retailers working to become the leading information source on prebiotics by providing a range of educational materials to help raise public awareness. The association functions on the shared values of being committed to prebiotic product integrity and efficacy, as well as cultivating and supporting science-backed research opportunities.
In his role, Gosálbez will work with the GPA to proactively communicate emerging category-based science and help advance quality standards in prebiotics.
Gosálbez said: “I am thrilled to join the GPA Technical Committee. At Clasado, we are continuously developing innovative solutions to aid gastrointestinal wellness as well as other applications of prebiotics. In the last few years, the health sector has experienced major advancements in technology, and it is our responsibility as a GPA member to ensure the results are communicated to consumers with science at the forefront.”
Clasado Biosciences, a global developer of clinically proven prebiotic ingredients and product solutions, joined the association in October 2019. The company’s flagship product, Bimuno, a unique daily prebiotic fibre containing galactooligosaccharides (GOS), helps stimulate the growth of good bacteria within the gut microbiome.
Len Monheit, Executive Director of GPA, added: “We are delighted to welcome Dr Gosálbez to the Technical Committee. As a well-respected figure in the life sciences sector, his extensive knowledge and commercial experience will significantly advance GPA research to deliver exceptional results for our educational programmes.”
