Grace will be responsible for driving continued growth of the portfolio in the EMEA market, new business development, management of the innovation pipeline, and supporting forward-looking strategy.
Markets in EMEA are seeing a rise in demand for snacks that offer ‘conscious indulgence’ to satisfy desires for a decadent treat but are made with healthy ingredients, are high in protein or include additional micronutrients; Grace says this will be a key area of focus as she takes on her new title.
Grace started her journey with Glanbia Nutritionals as part of its 2006 Graduate Programme after graduating from the University of College Cork with an undergraduate degree in Food Science & Technology.
Her time with Glanbia Nutritionals has taken her across the world, working as part of its Research & Development (R&D) team in Idaho for 5 years and subsequently setting up and growing a team of ten in California to support the R&D and production of flavours and beverages.
Most recently, Grace was Director of Research and Development in Emerging Platforms at Glanbia Nutritionals, where she was instrumental in the growth of both flavour and aseptic business units, leading the launches of several successful new technologies such as Carbout and EasyFlav.
Speaking about her time at Glanbia Nutritionals, Grace said: “Glanbia Nutritionals has always stood out to me as a company that takes care of its employees. I was fortunate enough to be offered a position after graduating, and I immediately took the role knowing that the company would support my career’s growth and professional development.”
“I’m looking forward to continuing my journey with Glanbia Nutritionals in my new role, expanding the EMEA team. I especially love working with clients, taking their ideas from the initial brainstorm to the launch date, seeing their excitement as their innovations become a physical product on the shelves.”
Brad Meyers, Senior Director Product Management, at Glanbia Nutritionals added: “Grace has been an integral part of the Glanbia Nutritionals team for 12 years, and it is a testament to her talent and ambition that she has been so successful in every role she has taken on. We have no doubt that her wealth of experience will be invaluable in developing our healthy snacking strategy.”
Glanbia Nutritionals is the number two global producer of premixes in the world. Its proteins, custom premix solutions, bioactive ingredients, plant-based solutions and micronutrients are sold in over 130 countries worldwide.
