Dr Lund and the Herbal Analytics team will be investigating extraction and standardisation methods for the purposes of future botanical drug investigations

Affinor Growers a diversified agriculture and biotechnology company with proprietary vertical farming systems, is pleased to announce that its Washington State partner, Kaleb Lund, PhD, of Herbal Analytics, has received a Faculty/Student Research Seed Grant for the proposal entitled 'Standardization of Banisteriopsis caapi: Towards an FDA-Approved Phase I Trial of Ayahuasca Tea in Healthy Adults.'

In collaboration with Leanna Standish, ND, PhD of Bastyr University, Dr Lund and the Herbal Analytics team will be investigating extraction and standardisation methods for the purposes of future botanical drug investigations using this sacred plant.

One of the purposes of the Research Seed Grant mechanism is to enable Herbal Analytics to perform a successful pilot study that will lead to a foundation or National Institutes of Health grant application.
