Krüger joins biomega from Royal Greenland where he was a technical manager at a shrimp and halibut factory in Ilulissat, Greenland, and its Danish head office in Aalborg. His prime responsibilities were in operational maintenance, machine optimisation analysis and held various construction and project management roles.
As a trained electrician by trade, Krüger has also held previous positions as a project manager at Scandi Standard — Kronfågel, a large poultry manufacturer in Sweden — and a technical manager at the high-quality food supplier, Scandic Foods.
Jarl Knudsen, COO at biomega, commented: “We are delighted that Peter has joined our growing team here in Denmark. With his wealth of experience in managing large-scale technical projects, he will play a key role in ensuring the new factory is up and running quickly with minimal downtime."
"This will include overseeing systematic maintenance on the machines and building, alongside ensuring production is fully optimised as we continue to focus on improving our circular approach to energy."
“Peter’s excellent skillset will be a fantastic addition to the biomega team and it is my pleasure to welcome him on board.”
The new appointment is part of the company’s latest investment in a multimillion Euro biorefinery, which has been built from the ground up to service the human nutrition market with high quality salmon peptides and oils.
Delighted with his new position, Krüger said: “The new factory at Hirtshals presents a fresh challenge for the company and I’m truly honoured to become a key part of its circular journey. Not only is the factory brand new, but the technology process it uses is incredibly exciting. I’m looking forward to working on the factory’s continuous improvement and ensuring biomega fulfils its sustainability goals.”
