A novel study published in Frontiers in Nutrition has found that daily lutein and zeaxanthin (LZ) intake can benefit the eye health of those with high screen times. 

The trial, which assessed the efficacy of Bio-gen Extracts’ Lute-gen ingredient, found that the two carotenoids could improve markers of eye health, as well as showing promise as a cognitive wellness-boosting duo too.

These findings support the benefits of long-term supplementation with LZ for ocular health — though more studies will need to be done to confirm which populations these ingredients will benefit best.
