Microalgae supplier Allma will showcase ground-breaking food and beverage concepts that harness the benefits of sun-grown Chlorella at Health Ingredients Europe 2014 on Stand F89.
Working with its industry partners, Allma has developed a series of innovative recipes that incorporate Chlorella to demonstrate that 'the next generation of foods will be green'. Applications on display at HIE include Bubble Tea, olive oil, a savoury spread and chocolate – all enriched with Allma’s premium quality Chlorella powder.
Portugal-based Allma will also give visitors to HIE a first chance to see its Chlorella Crunches – an innovative new concept that blends rice cereals with sun-grown Chlorella powder to create a natural, delicious and nutritious crispy snack and ingredient solution.
Chlorella Crunches will be available to try in three flavours – Carrot & Raspberry, Ginger & Lemon and Rosemary & Piri Piri – and in different sizes to highlight their versatility. They can be seasoned and eaten alone as a tasty and healthy snack, or included in a salty snack mix. Alternatively they can be used in products such as yoghurts, breakfast cereals, snack bars, soups, salads and many more.
HIE 2014 is the perfect event for us to showcase the potential of Allma’s sun grown Chlorella in food and beverage applications
In attendance at the show with Allma on 3 December will be representatives from Portuguese food and beverage company Frulact. Allma and Frulact have worked together to create a special Chlorella Bubble Tea drink, a delicious Chlorella cream cheese spread made with a range of vegetables, and a citrus-flavoured yoghurt.
