ADM has announced an expansion of its Customer Creation and Innovation Center (CCIC) lab in Hungary, which it says will strengthen its ability to deliver tailored beverage solutions for customers across Eastern Europe.
The expansion will nearly double the facility's size and add enhanced application resources, broadening ADM's regional capabilities.
The firm said its customers will now be able to accelerate the development of "on-trend beverage concepts ranging from ready-to-drink products and coffee beverages to functional and wellness-focused drinks."
It cited rising consumer demand for functional, low-sugar beverages as the reason behind the decision to expand.
Industry forecasts project that the non-alcoholic beverage segment in Hungary, valued at $3bn in 2025, will grow at an annual rate of 3.5% through 2030, with the foodservice segment experiencing particularly robust momentum.
"This investment reflects our commitment to helping customers innovate [more quickly] by combining local expertise with ADM's global flavour capabilities," said Alexander Lichter, VP, Flavors EMEA.
The expanded facility will enable us to develop customised solutions that help beverage and foodservice brands meet growing consumer demand for great taste, convenience and better-for-you products.
The announcement of the expansion follows on the heels of the recently launched LaSavista, ADM's foodservice brand, which offers complete ingredient systems and tailored concepts for coffee, tea and other beverage applications.
