Funtrition, a global gummy contract manufacturer and product developer, has officially opened its new gummy production facility in the US.
The 62,000 sqft production site in Florida offers manufacturing, development, packaging and warehousing capabilities in the US and abroad.
The opening of its new facility allows the company to fulfil the growing need of the supplement market, as well as expand its current capabilities.
Gummies on the rise
According to Mintel’s New Products Database, with a 153% increase in sales in the US between 2017 and 2021, gummies have become one of the most convenient and indulgent ways to consume nutritional supplements.
This has led gummies to become one of the most sought-after supplement delivery formats, reaching a substantial value of USD $21.4bn in 2022 and expected to maintain an impressive CAGR of 11.8% from 2022 to 2030, according to Grand View Research.
Some key highlights of the new site include:
- Enhanced capacity: theoretically, the facility can handle the production of 300 tonnes of gummies per month
- Manufacturing capabilities: the site can produce all the Funtrition gummy technologies currently on offer
- Bulk packaging capacity
- Bottle packaging capacity: the facility can produce approximately one million bottles per month
- Warehousing/logistics: more than 40,000 sqft with 10 docks for loading and unloading will be present
