Joerg Gruenwald has been elected by the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) to be a member of their Expert Committee for Botanical Dietary Supplements and Herbal Medicines for the term 2015-2020.
USP is the leading international organisation for monographs and quality standards for drugs, dietary supplements and food ingredients, used in more than 140 countries worldwide.

His election recognises him as an international leader in the field of medicinal plant research and product development.'

I have always respected USP's work, specifically as a pioneer of botanical quality in the USA.'
Joerg Gruenwald has worked as adviser to the FDA Office of Dietary Supplements, he was Chairman of the International Committee of the American Herbal Products Association AHPA and member of the Council for Responsible Nutrition's Botanical/Quality Standards Committee. In2015, he joined the Advisory Board of the American Botanical Council (ABC).
Presently, Dr Gruenwald, one of the company's founders, serves as Chief Scientific Adviser for analyzes & realize, a leading consultancy and CRO that specialises in botanicals and natural health products with more than 40 employees, based in Berlin/Germany. Gruenwald's new positions in the USP Expert Committee and in the ABC Advisory Board offers a&r's clients access to the US supplement and herbal community and most recent developments in herbal product regulations.
