Sirio Pharma (Sirio), a leading global nutraceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), announces the appointment of Mark Dewis as General Manager of the Sirio Americas Business Unit. Dr. Dewis brings more than 30 years of experience in the food, beverage, and nutritional supplement industries.
In his new role, Dr. Dewis will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Sirio’s operations in the Americas, including strategic planning, customer partnerships, regional business development, and innovation initiatives. He will focus on expanding Sirio’s market presence, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and driving value for customers through best-in-class product solutions and service excellence.
Dr. Dewis joins Sirio Pharma at a promising time for the company. Sirio Pharma has recently completed a National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) recertification audit, securing an ‘A’ rating for the sixth consecutive year. This achievement underscores Sirio’s unwavering organisation-wide commitment to quality, compliance and operational excellence, ensuring customers receive the highest standard of nutraceutical products.
Originally from England, Dr. Dewis’ career spans a diverse array of global B2B ingredient and solutions manufacturing companies - including privately held firms, private equity-backed organisations, and publicly traded enterprises. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and began his career as a chemist before moving into flavour development with a global flavour and fragrance chemical manufacturer. After relocating to the United States, he spent over seven years leading R&D teams in senior roles before transitioning into commercial leadership, where he was responsible for managing key global accounts. Dr. Dewis’ general management background includes serving as president of a major business unit within a multinational flavours and fragrances corporation and, most recently, as CEO of a nutraceutical ingredients company.
